Compatibility: A couple of games about technological limitations
Simulating the 80s processing limitations, DwarfMaze is a game coded with Java, made entirely of 1 color pixel lines: generating geometrical shapes and through optical illusions, gives you the sensation of running throught an infinite corridor. It is an endless runner: thinner corridors, moving walls, flying objects and geometrical creatures... Anything could push you back and restart the game!
In this C++ game called "Tigere" you play as a roaming tiger that meets different obstacles and animals along the way: as you do not want to be bothered with hitting anything, roar away and dodge the incoming foes to increase your score as long as possible. Since it is limited to the 160×144 screen size and the monochrome 4-shade palette, every pixel took an important role in graphical representation.
Honeycross is a mobile hexagonal nonogram made with Gamemaker 2 iOS port with dozens of levels in different difficulties. Due to smartphone screen size limitations, it comes with a standalone hardware that connects to the device and lets you smoothly control the honeycomb you wish to select and solve the puzzles. While the hardware was not manufactured in real life, the game can still be played with touchscreen in a zoomed-in mode.
